It does’t matter who you are, in this digital age, you need an email address for most of your daily activities. Don’t just have an email instead create a Gmail account that comes with a Google account. With your Google account you will have access to all the products from Google that are available to the public. Even if you would like to create a YouTube channel you need a Google account.
Steps to Create Your Gmail Account
- Open your internet browser
- Search for “create gmail” in the Google search bar
- Click on the first result or Click Here to Open Google Sign Up page
- Enter your details and click on “Next” button
- Fill all the required fields and press “Next”
- Scroll down and tick both boxes and click on “Create account”
- Now you have your gmail account, a Google account and access to other Google products.

Search for “create gmail”
Search for “create gmail” in the google search engine and click on the first result that says “Create your Google Account- Google Accounts” , it will open the page with a form to fill.

Enter Your Details
Enter your details: First name, Last name, a username and a secure Password that has more than 8 characters with a mix of capital and small letters, numbers and symbols. Click “Next” if your user name dosen’t exist select one of the suggested ones or try another one.

Recoverty Email and Phone Number
In this section, phone number and recovery email address are optional but you can use your phone number to two-factor authentication and to recover your password. Enter your date of birth and select your gender and click “Next”.

Agree the Google terms of services:
This page is all about the legal stuff. Read through the privacy and terms and tick the boxes to agree to the Google terms of Service and how they process your information. If you want more privacy click “MORE OPTIONS” and select your preferences, more details below. If you are happy with what you have done so far click “Create Account”. Bingo, you have your gmail account, a Google account and access to all of the Google products that are available to the public with a single Username and Password.

More Details About The Google Privacy and Terms option- “More Options”
In the Google privacy and terms page, just above the tick boxes you can see a link for “More Options” if you click on that you can customise your Google expriences.
- Web & App Privacy – You can select whether you want Google to save your Web & app activity on your Google Account.
- Ads personalisation– You can select either personalised ads or the ads that are not personalised based on your activity.
- YouTube History– You can decide whether you want to save your YouTube history in your Google account.
- Location History– select do you want to save your location history in your google account or not.
If you leave it to the Google default setting Google will save your Web & app history such as searches and other activities in Google sites and Apps, and your YouTube history such as what you searched for and watched. By default, Google will show you personalised ads and will not save your location history in your Google account.
